Being Human

*****

Times when I overreact,
Times when I underreact,
Times I have to self-redact,
Adjust theory to fact,

Times I could have been more wise
But to my chagrined surprise
When tried to apologize
No forgiveness I apprise,

Times when wisdoms failed to hark,
Times I fell short of the mark —
I am hopin’ and assumin’
This is what ’tis to be human!
