When I’m stupid, when I’m smart
When I stop and when I start
All my readers straightway know it
I was born a nat’ural poet

Have I made a bad mistake?
Cannot give myself a break
Sorry if I seem to flout it
I’ve just got to write about it

Hoping that my mere compulsion
Give some other soul propulsion
Out of personal confusion
Into conflict resolution
