Though I sit
Solitarily
I do have
Pleasant company
The presence of
A lifelong friend
On whom I know
I can depend
To sooth ill temper
Ease my sleep
Cheer me when
I tend to weep
Assist me
Meditation to
Add balance to
My point of view
Lift me up
Yet calm me down
Eliminate
My cranky frown
Open to
Philosophy
My mind explores
More peacefully
Rememb’ring to
Luxuriate
In all that the
Divine create
A heart more
Cheerfully aware
And body pain
Sees fit to spare
With spirit
Upward blossoming
Its gratitude
To heaven bring
Companion of
Such quality
Just makes sense to
Keep near to me
Daily communion
So superb

My buddy Herb
Well spoken sir. Nice one

I’m well acquainted with Herb, although he never did much for me (except perhaps give me a more artistic bent). But I do like this piece very much. It’s very in tents.

I believe human needs, from food to medicine to sleep to psychic stimulus, are much more individual than presently supposed.
Also, thanks a lot — I’m about to post the last piece in my tent series, and it contains THAT VERY PUN! 🙂
