(It’s understood that the generations which have benefitted from the Star Wars mythology are the inheritors of this great man’s lifetime of considered thought)
O what a teacher did we have in him!
O what a mind he had, and what a heart!
The first to marry all religious whim
Its all-alikeness to all minds impart
A man of great personal discipline
Who did not let himself the pleasure know,
Since e’er his mission earnestly begin,
Of any movie, TV, radio
Until, already very late in days,
Unto his friend George Lucas’ house he goes
And that friend his Star Wars trilogy plays
After which Joseph Campbell, peaceful, knows
He leaves this life’s accounts not in arrears
For now his message reaches many ears
